Reverie

T'was a lazy afternoon,
Physics class in progress;
I turned to look around,
Half the class in distress.
With chins laid on hands,
All of us in nostalgia;
For our eyelids felt heavy,
Longing for a sweet siesta.
Unable to fight any longer,
Slowly sank my head down;
At once I fell asleep,
Like no one else at town.
Half an hour later,
I sensed the bell ring;
Time to go home,
But my heart just begun to swing:
A soft, familiar hand,
Gently on my shoulder;
I looked around to see,
It was her with a folder!
"Walk with me..?",
She was a bit timid;
"S-Sure.. I'd love to!",
Unable to believe it.
Together we stepped out,
Each wanting to say something;
Felt like being flown away,
Wished to hold on to anything.
And suddenly the hot sun,
Wanted to be a shy thing;
It seemed to be enticed,
By an unusual early sink.
Our houses not too far,
Just a few yards away;
But it took us hours,
Before she had her first say:
"My heart keeps fleeing me,
classes, too often i miss;
I then realize,
With you it surely is..
I need it back no more,
keep it safely to yourself,
Instead give me yours,
Right here is the wharf!"
Swiftly she kissed me,
(Cheeks, not lips);
Rooted to the spot in disbelief,
I had to give myself those nips!
That night I hardly slept,
Her luscious lips I'd felt (!!);
Enthralled and enthused,
Don't know how i dosed.
The arcane alarm rang,
As much as to its core;
My hands, with a bang,
Pushed it to the floor.
Time to get up,
But my heart just sprung up:
The same familiar hand,
Gently on my shoulder;
I looked around to realize,
The teacher much more ruder!!
