This poem is for my special friends, who will always have a warm place in my heart.
Ask my pillow,
She will tell you;
How in my heart,
The wild winds blew.
All those nights I spent,
Hoplessly clutching her;
Draining my weary eyes,
Off every dreary tear.
I call her my friend,
The best of all I had;
Lending me her shoulder,
Listening to all I add.
For I have had none,
To claim as a friend;
Had not a single one,
Who'd tend and mend.
Lend her your ears,
She will tell you;
Of the very few dears,
I had to pass through.
Sweet or sorrow,
Doubt or farrago;
She's always there,
To them all flow.
She taught to endure,
When I was to wilt;
She is the only one,
I've been endowed with.
Ask my pillow,
She will tell you;
That now in her place,
It's none than you!!
Ask my pillow,
She will tell you;
How in my heart,
The wild winds blew.
All those nights I spent,
Hoplessly clutching her;
Draining my weary eyes,
Off every dreary tear.
I call her my friend,
The best of all I had;
Lending me her shoulder,
Listening to all I add.
